With the new year, we are expanding our efforts to keep alumni, faculty, and staff connected by sending eCALSconnect to the entire CALS community on a monthly basis. We welcome the thousands of alumni and many faculty and staff who are receiving this e-newsletter in their inboxes and hope you all find it a resource to keep up to date about the College's latest news. Nowhere else can you keep as well-informed about CALS news than eCALSconnect. Here you'll find updates from around the College, items about faculty and staff achievements, an events calendar, and a Made@CALS section that highlights faculty innovations in the marketplace.
In this issue you will find news about the College that spans the entire 2008 fall semester. We welcome your feedback about the newsletter. Please send submissions to calsconnect@cornell.edu and enjoy our premiere issue.

Cornell's Center for Technology Enterprise and Commercialization (CCTEC) will oversee the Ithaca-based enterprise and is currently securing capital, partners, and a management team for the company.
