On April 19 and 20, Cornell will hold an Entrepreneurship@Cornell celebration that will include panels and speeches by Cornell’s successful business entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship symposia, and a networking event.
There will be many prominent speakers at the event, including Chairman and CEO of McGovern Capital and Cornell Entrepreneur of the Year, Kevin McGovern ’70, who make the Keynote Address about “Innovation through Nature”. Andrew Ross Working ’99, Chief Mergers and Acquisitions Reporter and Assistant Editor, Business and Finance at the New York Times and Nancy Schick MBA ‘79, President and CEO of Henry Ford Health System will speak as well. Moreover, President Skorton will be hosting a gala dinner honoring McGovern and announcing the winners of the Johnson School Business Idea Competition (BC).
For those who are interested in learning more about entrepreneurship, Cornell will also host five separate symposia on the topics of entrepreneurship including hospitality, real estate, health care, venture capital and sustainability, and agriculture, food and life sciences. The Cornell Entrepreneurship Event (CENT) will also feature a panel of four Cornell alumni who will share their insights regarding “Where is the Smart Money Going Now and Where Might it be Headed.”
Furthermore, there will be a university-wide Entrepreneurship Expo featuring Cornell technology and student businesses and a CA Engineering Conference about the "Impact of Globalization on Business and Technology".
