CALS has a long history of economic development. As New York's land-grant college, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences reaches out locally, nationally, and internationally with extension programs that benefit the public, rural communities, and industry.

Develop strong economic partnerships and new innovations through:

• Licensing technology and supporting technology commercialization (visit: www.cctec.cornell.edu)
• Sponsoring intellectual property, patenting, or technology transfer seminars in conjunction with CALS and CCTEC
• Participating in and/or sponsoring entrepreneurial activities and programs
• Locating facilities or operations at the Cornell Business and Technology Park in Ithaca or at the Cornell-affiliated Agriculture and Food Technology Park adjacent to the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva
• Utilizing Cornell Cooperative Extension research and extension resources
