Given the large number of visitors we see annually, we do not schedule individual appointments with prospective freshmen. We do, however, allow ample time to answer your questions during one of our Group Information Sessions.
What can you expect?
Lasting approximately one hour, Group Information Sessions focus on freshman and transfer admission and include a general overview of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, an explanation of the admission process, a glimpse of what the admission committee looks for in an application, and plenty of time to answer questions about both academic and student life.
During the academic year, student ambassadors will join the Group Information Sessions to offer insights from a student's perspective.
Refer to the schedule below when planning your visit. Please call 607-255-2036 or email to let us know you are coming. When emailing, please include your full name, mailing address, phone number, and if you are interested in freshman or transfer admission.
Group Information Session Schedule
Note: Transfer students are encouraged to attend the group sessions and schedule an individual appointment well in advance of the application deadline if they have further questions around transfer planning. We meet with transfer students the semester before they begin the application process. These appointments are not evaluative interviews, but a time to answer questions about the transfer process and to discuss proper course selection.
