To prepare for studying within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences each academic major has identified key foundation courses that students need to complete prior to transfer- you will find them below- in addition
Students considering transfer are required to complete a two semester general introductory biology sequence i.e. Biology I and Biology II with hands-on labs prior to transfer. Students interested in Applied Economics and Management, Communication, Development Sociology, Information Science and Landscape Architecture are not required to take the lab and can take an Introductory Biology course sequence for non-science majors.
Students are also required to complete two academic writing/English composition (not literature or writing intensive) courses or one academic writing and one public speaking course prior to transfer.
Students considering a Preveterinary or Premedical studies are also required to complete Organic Chemistry I and Organic Chemistry II or Physics I and Physics II if planning to transfer as a Junior.

Cornell University does not accept CLEP credit.

Environmental Engineering
Environmental Engineering transfer applicants are required to submit course descriptions for all college level math, science and computer programming courses completed or in progress when applying, send to Cornell University, Transfer Admissions PO Box 6411, Ithaca, NY 14851-6411.
In addition math courses completed at another college need to be reviewed by the Cornell Math department to determine transfer credit and math placement. If you are applying for Spring admission you need to submit your courses for review by October 1 and if you are applying for Fall admission you need to submit your courses for review by March 15. Please submit responses from the math department with your application or email them to als_admissions@cornell.edu with your name and note that you are applying for transfer admission. This information will be added to your application file.
