Season Extension
Faculty contacts: Chris Wein, Marvin Pritts
Season extension research in the Department of Horticulture focuses on cultural practices to help growers in New York and the Northeast harvest high-value crops earlier and a later in the season using high tunnels, greenhouses and other techniques.
Projects include:
- High-tunnel production of warm-season vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers and eggplants.
- Greenhouse and high-tunnel bramble production.
- High-tunnel cutflower production.
