External Billings
Summary
External billings are billings for services or products that are invoiced to entities outside of the university. Examples of external billings include but are not limited to the following: reimbursements for expenses incurred by visitors, soil testing, farm services, publications, newsletters, conference registrations, lab analyses, etc.
Department Responsibility
- Send external billing information to the FBSC representative
- Documentation should include:
- name
- address
- phone number (if available) of customer
- detailed billing information
- total amount; detailed business purpose
- account(s) to be credited
- Send information to Finance Business Services Center (FBSC) representative for invoice preparation
FBSC Responsibility
- THE FBSC representative will prepare an invoice using information from department
- The FBSC representative will seek clarification from department if there are questions
- The FBSC representative will deposit check when it is received in the CALS FBSC
