GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENT:
Part I of the Application to Graduate will be completed online. This is a 5 minute process.
If you are CALS student who is planning on graduating it is your responsibility to complete an Application to Graduate. Completing the Application to Graduate will notify the CALS Registrar's office to order your diploma as well as inform the student on the remaining college distribution requirements.
If you are a CALS Student anticipating on graduating in January, the deadline for the Application to Graduate is October 15th. If you are CALS student anticipating on graduating in May, the deadline for the Application to Graduate is December 19th. If you have missed these deadlines please contact the CALS Registrar's Office immediately.
It is the Responsibility of each party to abide by the following requirements:

- Commencement Office Responsibilities
It is the Student's Responsibility to:
- Complete Part I of the Application to Graduate online. If you are unable to access this site, please stop in at the CALS Registrar's Office to complete it with a staff member.
- Schedule a meeting with your faculty advisor(s) to complete Part II.
- Bring part 2 to the CALS Registrar's Office, 140 Roberts Hall.
- Seek clarification from your advisor and/or CALS Registrar's Office staff if graduation requirements are unclear.
- Retain a copy of the Application to Graduate for your records.
It is the Faculty Advisor's Responsibility to:
- To complete Part II with the student, listing any outstanding requirements on the application (including courses that are currently in progress).
- Answer any student questions regarding major and/or minor requirements
It is the CALS Registrar's Office Responsibility to:
- Update the graduation summary.
- Answer student questions regarding CALS graduation requirements.
- Graduate the student when all graduation requirements have been met.
- Order the students Diploma.
It is the Responsibility of the Commencement Office to:
- Contact graduating seniors regarding Commencement events (Caps and Gowns, event times, senior week, etc...), and
- to maintain the Commencement web site at www.commencement.cornell.edu.

Distribution Requirements This document is the current list of CALS college distribution requirements, as well as the courses that will fulfill these requirements. If you are interested in taking a course that is not listed on this document, but you fill might fulfill a requirement check with the CALS Registrar's office before taking the course.
