CALS Registrar's Office
Welcome to the CALS Registrar's Office! This office serves as the main record keeper for all current CALS undergraduate students, and ensures that student registration, completion of degree requirements, and course scheduling occur in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. The CALS Registrar's Office exists independently from the University Registrar's Office, but it is guided by their mandates concerning confidentiality, accuracy, and security.
Important Announcement Concerning New Student Pre-Enrollment for Fall 2008:
All incoming new students will have an opportunity to pre-enroll in classes. However, each major handles the pre-enrollment process differently.
If you are:
- an incoming first-year student (freshman) in the majors of Biological Sciences or Entomology, you will enter your own pre-enrollment request via the web. Instructions are available by clicking on this link.
- an incoming first-year student (freshman) in any CALS major EXCEPT Biological Sciences or Entomology, your pre-enrollment request will be submitted by an advisor in your department on your behalf.
- an incoming transfer student, you will enter your own pre-enrollment request via the web. Instructions are available by clicking on this link.
All students will have an opportunity to meet with an advisor in their major and with a member of the CALS Registrar's Office during Orientation. Regardless of how your pre-enrollment request is submitted, all students can make changes to their pre-enrollment request during the add/drop period beginning August 27, 2008.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR GRADUATING SENIORS:
The CALS Application to Graduate will be available online through DUST at https://dust.cals.cornell.edu the week of August 26th, 2008, or sooner.
Deadlines for Submitting Parts I and II:
- May degree candidates - December 1st
- August degree candidates - December 1st
There are two parts to the Application to Graduate:
- Part I outlines the college graduation requirements. It will be completed online.
- Part II outlines the outstanding requirements for the major(s) and any minors. The student will complete this in-person with the faculty advisor(s). It is a paper-based form.
- When complete, Part II should be submitted to the CALS Registrar's Office by the application deadline.
- Any student wishing to complete Part I in-person with a member of the CALS Registrar's Office should come to walk-in hours.

D.U.S.T.: Students can view their degree progress, search courses to satisfy distribution requirements, and apply to graduate through DUST.
Humanities & Social Sciences Courses: Students can search for courses that have been approved to satisfy the CALS humanities and social sciences distribution requirement.
Transcript Requests: Students can request transcripts online through the Office of the University Registrar.
Enrollment Certification: Students can request proof of full-time enrollment.
