General Description
Cornell Cooperative Extension Delaware County (Hamden, NY) is searching for a full time Sr. Resource Educator. Responsible for providing leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of innovative educational programs in the discipline of Dairy/Livestock Management, including but not limited to innovative educational programs in the disciplines of Dairy/Livestock Management, including herd health management (especially calves) and pathogen management for the agricultural community of the New York City Cat/Del Watershed Region. Assist in representing the association to the public, community leaders, government officials and Cornell University. Programmatic responsibilities will be devoted to Whole Farm Planning and Dairy/Livestock Management educational programs related to the WAC Watershed Agricultural Program, and to Association organizational responsibilities.
The position will focus on deliverables specified in the WAC/CCEDC Contract 346, Appendix A and potentially succeeding contracts. The position will serve as the Dairy/Livestock Management Specialist resource to the Watershed Agricultural Program under the direction of the CCEDC Association Executive Director and Watershed Agricultural Extension Team Leader. The position may work with faculty, under agreements with the Delaware County Association, on Dairy/Livestock enterprise applied research. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Master's of Science Degree in Dairy and/or Animal Science appropriate to performing the responsibilities of the position. At least two years of progressively responsible experience in Cooperative Extension or equivalent professional agricultural experience in education in an academic, or industry setting related to Dairy/Livestock Management in the context of a variety of producers and situations with Dairy/Livestock enterprises. Experience must include two years interactive experience with agriculture producers.
