Job Description
The Research Foundation of SUNY at Cortland has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to serve the Central New York Teacher Professional Development Network, a grant-funded program which supports the professional development of public school teachers. Major responsibilities include serving as the liaison to participating school and teacher centers to identify the professional development needs of teachers; assisting in the development of programs including seminars, workshops and activities; conducting classroom observations to assess program effectiveness; data collection and tracking; report generation; preparation and delivery of presentations; and, providing administrative support to the directors of the grant.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree; experience working in school settings; proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Office; strong problem solving skills; effective oral and written communication skills; effective interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a group; excellent attention to detail; strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize work demands; and self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Education; 10 or more years experience working in school settings, preferably in Cortland or Tompkins County; experience using Access or other database software; and, web editing experience.
Position is a 10 month grant funded position, renewable up to 5 years. Starting salary: $40,000. Excellent benefits package.
