Job Description
The Round Hill Club is an 18 hole private club located just north of NYC in Greenwich, CT. The clubs property is 210 acres and includes a driving range,/skeet range, outdoor/indoor tennis, paddle tennis, squash, fitness center, pool, and 18 hole golf course.
Job Qualifications
Education: 2 or 4 year degree in landscape design or ornamental horticulture
Experience Requirements: Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience with landscaping and horticulture. Experience in the Northeast is a plus. Residential irrigation experience is beneficial, however we are willing to train. Knowledgeable with shrubbery and deer resistant plants is helpful. Must have ability to obtain CT state pesticide license.
Special Requirements: The horticulturist is in charge of all landscaping, trees and shrubbery in and around the clubhouse, pool, indoor/outdoor tennis facilities and proshop. Must have an understanding of ornamental plants and plant material applicable to the area. Area in and around the clubhouse is in decline and needs a hardworking, dedicated individual to improve the overall appearance of the grounds. Lots of responsibility will be placed on the individual with minimal supervision. The overall agenda of this position is to effectively design, coordinate, and implement a landscaping program for the club. This agenda includes: planning, organizing and budgeting for landscaped areas around the property; scouting and monitoring for pests that pertain to ornamental plantings and landscape; developing a maintenance schedule for the property that corresponds with membership events and functions.
