Food Safety Auditor & Consultant
Agricultural Consulting Services, Inc.
Principal Responsibilities: Delivery food safety services to the agricultural, fresh produce and food processing community. Services include consulting to evaluate operations, making recommendations for improving established food safety practices, and/or designing and implementing food safety programs. The position will also conduct food safety audits. Candidates for this position must be willing to travel and relocate.
Job Qualifications
Skills Required: Candidates for this position must have a four year, bachelor’s degree in food science, agriculture, microbiology or related science. Candidates should also have some experience in the fresh produce, food processing, or agriculture production arenas. Experience and/or certification as a food safety auditor is not required, however the skills indicated here are necessary to provide an appropriate foundation for training and fulfilling the requirements as an auditor.
The ideal candidate will have experience with agricultural aspects of food production as well as handling, processing and/or distribution of fresh or processed food products.
