SUMMARY - PRIMARY ROLE

 

Commodity Research team is looking for a strong Research Associate in the New York, NY office. The role involves building and maintaining supply and demand models, as well as writing research notes and industry pieces. The team is looking for a strong analytical candidate, with a passion for Commodities.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Creation and maintenance of commodity supply and demand models leveraging skills in economics and econometrics

• Keeping abreast of industry-related news flow

• Researching and writing reports with a commodity specific focus

• Responding to requests for data and information from internal and external clients

• Assisting in the design and preparation of analyst marketing strategy and materials

• Marketing as necessary with senior team members

Job Qualifications

 

SKILLS REQUIRED • Knowledge of the Agriculture market is REQUIRED • Investment Banking experience preferred • Strong Analytical / Econometric • Excellent Excel and Eviews (or other statistical regression package) knowledge • Need to be high energy, self-motivated, creative and a team player • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills •  Strongly task oriented • Detail oriented • Team player
