ADM Alliance Nutrition, Inc., a fully-owned subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Company and national manufacturer of livestock feed with over 40 locations in North America, is seeking a qualified dairy leader to join its Innovation Team (location of the opening is negotiable). This individual will add value to ADM Alliance Nutrition’s dairy clients by providing dairy technical leadership within their region; prospecting for, selling and servicing dairy producers in assigned territory; providing technical training and support for customers and Sales Representatives; and accept shared responsibility for dairy tonnage targets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide technical support to Sales Representatives, dealers and producer customers
- Achieve dairy revenue, tonnage, market share, and product mix targets as directed for assigned listings and sale groups.
- Design and conduct technical training for Sales Representatives, nutritionists, dealers and dairymen.
- Develop strategic prospecting plan to sell progressive, sustainable dairy producers and support sales representatives’ efforts in this regard.
- Regularly contact customers and prospects, developing and maintaining positive customer relationships and adding value through expertise to their operation.
- Provide sound nutritional and management consultation in an effort to enhance bottom line dairy profitability.
- Establish dairy product line, services, and marketing programs suitable to the local area.
- Work in concert with the ADM Animal Nutrition Research Team in securing field sites for the evaluation of research-proven, innovative technologies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with allied members of the dairy industry.
- Formulate dairy rations to fit individual producer needs.
- Monitor market place; report on competitive activities and pricing as requested.

Job Qualifications
| REQUIREMENTS
Masters Degree (PhD preferred) required with extensive dairy management, nutrition, heard health and application experience. Successful candidate will have dairy industry/marketplace knowledge and prior working experience with feed formulation/ration balancing and strong agricultural business aptitude. Additional skills include:
- Ability to develop, service, and maintain customers
- Demonstrated ability to successfully sell dairy producers on products, programs and services
- Ability to work effectively as a team member with the ability to effectively train customers and Sales Representatives
- Must have superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and follow up as required
- Sound computer skills (Microsoft Office applications)
- Prior experience with PC DART, Dairy Comp 305, and Dalex strongly preferred but not required
- Ability to withstand automobile confinement required to serve geographic area
- Exposure to on-farm conditions (i.e. working around dairy cattle, farm machinery, etc.)
- Ability to travel a significant amount of time
