Job Description
Description of Organization: Through the Farm Loan Program, the USDA’s Farm Service Agency makes direct and guaranteed farm ownership (FO) and operating loans (OL) to family-size farmers and ranchers who cannot obtain commercial credit from a bank, Farm Credit System institution, or other lender.
Description of Duties This position is assigned to the USDA FSA Farm Loan Team, located in Middletown, Orange County, New York.
The selectee provides support and assistance to the Farm Loan Managers and Farm Loan Officers that perform a range of lending activities, closing, disbursement, monitoring, liquidating, and servicing of agricultural loans. Under the direction of the District Director and the Farm Loan Manager, the selectee works collaboratively with Farm Loan Officers and loan staff. This position performs analysis, evaluation and advisory assignments related to the effective delivery of loan making and servicing activities. As a Loan Analyst, the selectee will be responsible for assisting in the formulation and implementation of farm loan programs, policies, and procedures for the assigned farm loan area.

Preferred Majors: Applied Economics and Management/Animal Science/Agricultural Sciences
