Morrisville State College invites applications at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for a tenure-track, academic-year, teaching position in the Department of Agricultural Engineering. The successful candidate must possess the ability to teach a broad range of lower and upper division undergraduate courses in agricultural mechanics, small engines, diesel electrical systems, power generation, engine maintenance for alternative fuels, and other courses to meet the teaching needs of the department. Teaching assignments will demand a strong dedication to hands-on, in-field instruction, and application. Additional responsibilities include: implementing a technology management bachelor of technology degree as it pertains to the department; academic advisement; college/university service; course and program development; program promotion; and professional development. Additional opportunities for extra service will be available during the summer months through the offering of training and workshops as part of the Renewable Energy Training Center.

Job Qualifications
The applicant must possess a Masters degree in Technology Education, Engineering Technology, Agricultural/Mechanical Systems Management, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. A Ph.D. with a background in agricultural/industrial machinery systems is desired. The person filling this position will be expected to collaborate with existing faculty to utilize their expertise in developing opportunities related to agricultural and mechanical systems and the new associate degree in renewable energy. The successful candidate must demonstrate teaching proficiency and possess field experience in the area of mechanical/electrical systems. S/he must also have an understanding and appreciation for technical education at the associate and bachelor degree levels.
