Job Description
- Participate in economic and policy analysis of forestry investments, including natural and planted forests and production, processing of wood and non-wood forest products, and the provision of forest-derived environmental services;
- Contribute to planning and implementing regional and global forest sector outlook studies;
- Support capacity building through assisting in the organization of training workshops, meetings, seminars, etc.;
- Assist in the development of guidelines, manuals and training materials relating to the application of economic analysis to forestry;
- Contribute to the development of strategies, programmes and projects in support of forestry development;
- Perform other related duties as required.
Job Qualifications
MINIMUM:
- University Degree in Forestry with specialization in Economics or a University Degree in Economics which included specialised studies in forestry economics
- Three years of relevant work experience (for P-2 level)/one year work experience (for P-1 level) in economic analysis related to forestry
- Working knowledge of English, French or Spanish and limited knowledge of one of the other two
Salary
From 53,391/67,063 to 63,503/80,572 (without dependants) and from 56,600/71,499 to 67,628/86,348 (with dependants).
