Job Description
As Plant Breeder you will assess, investigate, develop and manage the development of crop traits specific for bioenergy platforms. WIth your understanding of plant genetics and breeding, you will be looked on to assess opportunities and help foresee potential pitfalls regarding plant trait variations and trade-offs.
Job Qualifications
- Graduate degree
- Preferable experience in biofuels supporting lignocellulosic energy crops, including energy grasses and short rotation coppice.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a global team.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent, full time basis.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Preferred Ph.D. in plant breeding, trait development, breeding and knowledge of scale-up operations.
- Graduating dates between 5/2009 and 12/2009.
- Ideal candidates will have proven leadership skills and strong work/internship experience.
