Job Description
As Agricultural Economist you will provide expertise in economics of various agricultural production systems including tropical, arid, and marginal lands in response to potential biomass production and trading.
You will help provide an interface between Agronomics and Agribusiness, providing inputs for strategic guidance on sensitive subjects including food vs. fuel as well as other high-impact considerations.
Project work may be handled individually or in small teams. Many projects are performed through global teams. Scope of evaluations may range from assembling and drawing conclusions for existing data to defining and obtaining new data needed to support a venture. The group contributes across technology maturity from Discovery through to Deployment.
Job Qualifications
- Graduate degree
- Preferable experience in agricultural economics supporting biomass for bioenergy applications.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a global team.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent, full time basis.
- Minimum GPA is 3.2.
- Preferred Ph.D. in agricultural economics supporting biomass for bioenergy applications.
- Graduating dates between 5/2009 and 12/2009.
- Ideal candidates will have proven leadership skills and strong work/internship experience.
