Biological Engineering
Tell us a little bit about your BEE experience
"As a senior in BEE, I have thoroughly enjoyed my past 3 years in the program. It has been a great experience that has taught me much about the endless possibilities that biological engineering can contribute to the ever expanding world of science. The BEE program offers a variety of classes but has allowed me to gear my coursework towards those topics that interest me the most, mainly the biological side of BEE. The curriculum is designed to provide me with a solid understanding of engineering and biological concepts, to expose me to several key laboratory techniques and to sharpen my communication and technical writing skills. The professors are great and have been very accommodating in meeting my needs and offering help when needed. In addition to time spent on my studies, I have also been involved with IBE for the past 3 years. Through this organization I collaborate with other BEE students to educate the community on the possibilities that the area of biological and environmental engineering has to offer."
What are your future plans?
"After I graduate I plan on pursuing a graduate degree in the field of biomedical science."
