Cornell University is nestled in the small city of Ithaca, in central New York.  Ithaca is one hour south of Syracuse, two and a half hours east of Buffalo and five hours north-west of New York City.  The summer is full of outdoor activities with nearby gorges and parks but the winters can be cold, so bring something warm to wear if you visit during that time.

Take 81 South to Exit 12, the first Cortland exit
Turn left (South) onto Rte. 281
Take Rte. 281 through Cortland
Rte. 281 merges into Rte. 13 at Tompkins St.
Continue on Rte. 13 South into Dryden
Turn right onto Main St. / Rte. 13 South at traffic light
Take Rte. 13 South towards Ithaca
Turn left onto Rte. 366 at traffic light near NYSEG
Take Rte. 366 towards Cornell
Turn right onto Judd Falls Rd.
Turn left onto Campus Rd. at first stop sign

Coming from the New York City area

Take Rte. 17 to 81 North in Binghamton
Take 81 North to Exit 8 at Whitney Point
Turn right onto Rte. 26
Turn left onto Rte. 11
Rte. 11 merges with Rte. 79 at Main St.
Take Rte. 79 West to Ithaca
Rte. 79 becomes E. State St.
Turn right onto Mitchell St. at stop sign
Bear to the left onto Ithaca Rd.
Go straight at traffic light - Ithaca Rd. becomes Dryden Rd./Rte. 366
Turn right at stop/yield sign
Continue on Rte. 366
Turn left onto Judd Falls Rd., immediately after 4-way stop
Turn left onto Campus Rd.

Coming from the Buffalo area

Take Rte. 90 East to Exit 41
Turn right (South) onto Rte. 414
Turn left (East) onto Rte. 318 at traffic light
Turn left at stop sign onto Rte. 5/20
Immediately turn right (South) onto Rte. 89
Take Rte. 89 to Ithaca
Turn left onto Buffalo St.
Take Buffalo St. through the city and up the hill
Turn left onto Eddy St.
Turn right onto Dryden Rd.
Turn left onto Rte. 366 at traffic light
Turn right at stop/yield sign
Continue on Rte. 366
