The ’06 Chardonnay is from a high PH soil vineyard, an anomaly in the high acid soils of Hector. It was aged in French Oak and stainless steel, put through malalactic fermentation, and is Burgundian in style. The ’06 Cabernet Sauvignon Barrel Select, while still young, is a splendid rendition of the unique capability we have at our vineyard site to fully ripen this stalwart of the Bourdeaux region. The ’04 Sparkling is made from Chardonnay and Champagne clone Pinot Noir grown once again in this high PH soil. A beautiful example of this terroirs potential to express world class wines. The excitement and passion to be found in food, wine and art within this Finger Lakes region is palpable. We at Damiani Wine Cellars feel this and try to honor it through our wines. Fair Market Value $303

136) Arbor Hill Mixed Case Traminette
Enjoy a mixed case of 1 bottle of Classic Traminette, 1 bottle of Dry Traminette and 1 bottle of Ambrosia. Arbor Hill Winery is located near Canandaigua lake in the famous Finger Lakes Region. The seed that gave birth to Traminette was one planted at the Cornell’s New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva in 1968. The wine is slightly sweet with a floral aroma and spicy taste similar to its famous parent, Gewürztraminer. This wine is one of the most exciting new grape varietals in the Finger Lakes Region. Traminette is a first generation progeny of the famous Gewürztraminer grape as grown in the Alsace region of northeast France. The Classic Traminette is our “signature” wine. This wonderful new creation is a cross between Gewurztraminer and a French-American varietal, Johannes Seyve 23-416. The Dry Traminette has a spicy fruit characteristic with nice apricot and honey overtones and the after-dinner touch of elegance, Ambrosia is our exciting dessert wine, with qualities very much like an ice wine, created from the late harvesting of Traminette and Muscat Ottonel.
